T. Addelle Diedesch MA, LMHC, CMHS, PMH-C

Licensed mental health Counselor, child and Perinatal Mental Health Specialist

I began my counseling journey in 2010 as a Chemical Dependency Professional in Snohomish county. I worked in outpatient, inpatient and medically assisted substance abuse treatment settings. I decided that attempting to change problem behavior with out looking at the whole picture of a client was limited and didn’t provide lasting change. I went back to school and completed my Masters of Counseling at Antioch University Seattle. My early practice included internships with Hospice of the Northwest, the Landing and Camp Erin, all focused bereavement and grief in adults and children. Additionally, I also interned at Island Hospital Behavioral Health and Psychiatry’s in-school counseling program for the Anacortes school district. Following my completion of graduate school in 2016 I began working for Compass Health’s Child and Family program, completed over 100 hours in specialized training related to children and families, collaborated with the Skagit County Child Advocacy Center and ran a support group for the parents of child survivors of sexual abuse.

Working with children and young families, my lived experience with perinatal mental health my focus shifted to earlier intervention with pregnant, postpartum, parenting people and supporting their families. I am a Postpartum International certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist and works at the individual, family and community level to support pregnant, postpartum and parenting individuals.

In addition to counseling I currently provide mental health consultation for Skagit and Whatcom Counties’ Nurse Family Partnership in-home visiting programs and engage in the Skagit Children’s Coalition, Perinatal to Three Network Meetings and other community based supports.
